Fall Indie Fest

Hey there D/FW bands: We are starting a new series in the Studio Theater at the Uptown in 2012. The Studio seats/stands 125 and is a cool, intimate setting. Interested in opening or being featured in this intimate series? Message us at [email protected] with song samples & tech riders.

BANDS: The City of Grand Prairie presents a garage band competition at Market Square, located at 120 West Main Street in downtown. September 23 and 30. For details and to submit your entry please email [email protected] $500 cash prize to the winner!

We love indie bands and are bringing classic eclectic music to downtown GP this year. The Uptown Theater in Grand Prairie Concert Series starts Friday, September 9th with Grammy Award winners Brave Combo! Tickets at 972-237-UPTN (8786)!

FIF is taking a hiatus in 2011 but we will definitely be back in full force in 2012 with exciting new ways to submit films and some super new categories. Stay tuned!

Our friends at the Grand Prairie Public Library System and the Grand Prairie Arts Council present The Lois Weber Film Festival, highlighting the spectrum of movies directed by women. Opening reception at 2:00 on Sunday. Join us at the Uptown Theater for a week of great film.
