welcome to my new series,✨THE MESSY MIDDLE✨

In honor of the fact that I get to see one of my very top lifelong musical idols perform tomorrow for the first time in LONG time (I saw Paramore a handful of times back in high school between 2007-11 🫠),

I am A) practicing my screaming along with Hayley voice for funsies 😁

and B) sharing messy progress on a goal I set for myself a couple YEARS ago that I still haven’t achieved yet!

When I started really working on my vocals after quitting the schoolteacher job that was slowly killing me, I set a goal of doing Misery Business at karaoke and crushing it 🤘🏻

That song is HARD though and requires not only a ton of power but also STAMINA in the area of my voice I struggle with the most.

So while I still kind of cringe at certain parts when I listen back to this take I just did, I’m also SO excited because I’m WAAAAY closer than I ever thought possible.

You should’ve heard me try just a few months ago! 🤯 and I can’t wait to try again a few months from now 🤘🏻

You know that whole thing about how you’re supposed to go back to what 10 year old you dreamed of?

Yeah 10 year old me would be losing her s**t if she saw this.

10/10 would recommend letting her steer the ship for a while. She knows what’s up 🤘🏻
