HIRING NOW!!! WorkSolved is Looking for Skilled Forklift and Overhead Crane Operators. 1st and 2nd shift available. $18.00 Hour to start with shift premium and excellent benefits and bonus potential when hired.

As a Forklift Operator at our steel supply company, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient movement and handling of steel materials within our warehouse facility. You will be responsible for operating forklifts and other equipment to load, unload, and transport steel products safely and accurately. Additionally, this position will involve training on and operating overhead cranes to enhance your skills and contribute to the smooth operation of our warehouse. This role requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.

Responsibilities:
Safely operate forklifts and other equipment to handle steel materials, including coils, sheets, bars, and other products.
Load and unload steel materials from trucks, railcars, and other delivery vehicles, following proper safety procedures and protocols.
Transport steel products to designated storage areas within the warehouse, ensuring proper placement and organization.
Assist with inventory management by accurately recording incoming and outgoing shipments, including product counts and locations.
Conduct routine inspections of forklifts, overhead cranes, and other equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies to prevent accidents, injuries, and damage to equipment or materials.
Collaborate with warehouse team members to fulfill customer orders in a timely and efficient manner.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including sweeping, stacking, and storing materials as needed.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers to coordinate tasks and address any issues or concerns.
Participate in training programs to learn how to operate overhead cranes safely and effectively.
Operate overhead cranes as needed to move heavy or oversized steel materials, following established procedures and safety guidelines.
Follow proper procedures for handling hazardous materials, if applicable, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid forklift operator certification or willingness to obtain certification.
Proven experience operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment in a fast-paced environment, preferably within the steel or construction industry.
Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately follow instructions.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Flexibility to work either first or second shift as needed.
Physical stamina and strength to lift and move heavy objects, including steel materials.
Willingness to learn and operate overhead cranes, with the ability to follow safety protocols and procedures.
Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices for forklift operation and warehouse activities.Top of Form

Details:
Pay rate: 1st Shift $18.00 2nd Shift $18.00 HR plus shift premium
30-minute lunch and 2 15-minute breaks
1st Shift 5:30am to 2:00 p.m. Overtime often required on Saturdays.)
2nd Shift 2:00PM – 10:30PM
