A year of learning; a year of growing.

Ellianne Huizinga joined our team as an Architectural Designer one year ago, and our core value she has leaned into most since day one says a lot: driven to improve.

Architecture is complicated, layered work. Taking a conceptual idea through countless decisions, iterations, and coordination into something real for the people who use it is no small feat. Ellianne came to AMDG because she fell in love with that process, and she has spent her first year deepening her knowledge and growing her craft.

Away from the office, she channels that same design thinking into building original creations from her ever-growing LEGO collection.

AMDG Architects was honored to participate as a sponsor and presenter at Wheaton Academy Institute's Best Practices Intensives — 300 leaders, 96 schools, two days of sharpening and equipping the people who shape Christian education in this country.

Our own Peter Baldwin and Todd Palmer joined Matt Davidson (Timothy Christian Schools) and Steve Karlson (Wheaton Academy) to lead a session on Master Planning as a Strategic Initiative. The message brought: space is a powerful tool. A thoughtfully designed campus amplifies your mission. When leadership leans into it, the impact on students, teachers, and the community is remarkable.

And here's the part that moved us most: the conference itself was held in Wheaton Academy's Academic Building, a building our team redesigned with their leadership team. To see it filled with purpose, conversation, and people doing good work in the world? That's the blessing we get to call our job.

Our mission is to use our gifts and talents in the service of others.
