Spreading the Word: Treetops will be closed June 29-July 10 for our biannual practice of Rest & Renewal 🌱⁠

Rest is not earned. It is not a reward for a job well done. It is not something to be saved for another day when we are not as busy, or when the to-do list is done, or the inbox is zero.⁠
⁠
Rest is for anyone, any time, all of the time. ⁠
⁠
This week Treetops is taking our own advice and pausing our work to rest. Our staff will not be on email or social media, and our cafe and shop are closed. ⁠
⁠
In a culture that prioritizes work, and for people who care so deeply about the work, it is an intentional decision to reinforce a biannual period of rest and renewal for the entire organization. ⁠
⁠
Renewal allows us to live more wholly, be more creative, thoughtfully share our stories, and lean more deeply into our work building cross-cultural community.⁠
⁠
So consider this post our accountability. Our computers are closed. We are setting aside our to do list and taking deep breaths as we lie on the grass or listen to the water or watch the clouds. ⁠

Treetops staff will return to the office on Monday, July 6. The Rooted Together Shop and community café will reopen on Tuesday, July 14!⁠
