Highlights of current civic involvement/accomplishment:

I was first elected to the LISD Board of Trustees in 2016 and have served as Secretary of the Board of Trustees since 2017. My service to the students and families of Lewisville ISD include member of the LISD Education Foundation Golf Tournament Committee; LISD Education Foundation Scholarship Reader; Communities In Schools of North Texas Mentor at Delay Middle School; Hebron HS PTSA, K-12 Liaison; Hebron HS Choir Booster Club, VP-Fundraising; Texas PTA, Field Service Representative; Presenter, National PTA Convention and Texas PTA Launch; Grade Level Advisor for the Class of 2020 through the National Charity League - Hebron Chapter; Medical City Children’s Kids Teaching Kids Advisory Committee Member; First Baptist Church Carrollton, Youth Connect Leader and Youth Choir Leader.

Highlights of past civic involvement/accomplishment:

I served LISD long before I ran for office, and my resume of volunteering includes serving as the President of the Lewisville Council of PTAs, the governing body of all PTA chapters in the district, following a 15+ years of PTA service and offices held across three LISD campuses which included President, Treasurer, Parliamentarian, School Support Chair, Membership Chair, and Program Chair. I am also a graduate of the Inside LISD Leadership Program, and have served on the LISD Facilities Assessment Team, District Leadership Team, District Partnership Committee, Interview Panel, HBL Mentor at Creek Valley Middle School, Lunch with a Leader Mentor at Central Elementary School, and Treasurer of the Hebron Choir Booster Club. Through First Baptist Church Carrollton, I have served as Children’s Mission Director, Children’s Coordinator, Kid’s Community Basketball Assistant Coach, Adult Bible Fellowship Leader, Global Missions Leader and Volunteer serving in Nairobi, Kenya. I have also been awarded the Texas PTA Honorary Life Membership Award, recognition of my dedication to the children and community of LISD, as well as the Texas PTA Extended Service Award, an honor given to me because of my strong history of continued service to the Texas PTA and support of their mission of making every child’s potential a reality.
