SUMMER GREETING COU FRIENDS,

June invites us into a season of growth, reflection, and light. As we reach the midpoint of the year, it offers a meaningful opportunity to pause and look back on the first six months. How have your New Year intentions begun to unfold? In what ways have you grown, shifted, or been surprised?

For those who participated in our Burning Bowl service, your letter to God should be arriving this month—a gentle invitation to revisit your vision for 2026, remember what called to your heart, and continue nurturing it with your attention, intention, and light.

This month also brings the summer solstice, the longest day of the year and a sacred reminder of illumination. The solstice has long been honored as a time for reflection, renewal, and reassessment. It offers us an opportunity to reconsider our direction, make meaningful adjustments, and celebrate the journey we are on. Just as importantly, it invites us to acknowledge and give thanks for all the good that has already unfolded this year.

In many spiritual traditions, light symbolizes wisdom, truth, and awakening. The summer solstice reminds us to kindle these qualities within ourselves—to shine light into places of uncertainty, trust our inner knowing, and allow greater clarity to emerge.

May the light of this season bless your life with renewal and growth. May it illuminate your path, deepen your joy, and awaken within you a greater awareness of the abundance already present and still unfolding.

Bring non-perishables to Fellow-ship Hall the last Sunday of each month for distribution to the GRACE Food Pantry clients. You don’t have to wait until last Sunday, though; bring shelf-stable foods any time during the month and place them in the marked receptacle in Fellowship Hall. Spam is still welcomed; the foods suggested here may be a bit healthier than that “traditional” donation. You might consider low-sodium, low-sugar, high-fiber foods in your selections.

PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOUR ITEMS ARE NOT EXPIRED. Like all of us, GRACE clients prefer to eat food that is not expired.
