I was thinking about one of the many events I did for Redken Products in San Antonio, Tx...
On the closing night of their annual show in SA I brought in Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers along with Ray Stevens for their dinner awards night entertainment....
After sound check Larry G. looked at me and said let’s go to Mi Tierra’s I needs some Mexican food...
I said Larry your on in about 2 hours let’s go after the concert..
Larry...no now...so we did...
We had Ray Stevens open the show then we brought on the Gatlin Brothers..
During their show about half way through Steve, Rudy and the band would leave the stage and Larry would set on a stool with his guitar and pick a few by himself.
About half way through that portion Larry stopped...looked at the audience and said...You know...I went to Mi Tierra’s about two hours ago and right now I have enough gas to drive my bus back to Nashville......
