At ESX 2026, Jeremy Bates was officially sworn in as Chairman of the Electronic Security Association Board of Directors, with the oath of office administered by Jason Lutz.

As Chairman, Jeremy steps into a leadership role that will help shape the future direction of ESA and the electronic security and life safety industry. At Electronic Security Expo - ESX 2026, ESA will officially introduce the ESA Industry Research Center, a new initiative designed to help integrators and dealers make smarter business decisions through meaningful economic and industry insight coming this July

Backed by Beacon Economics and ESA Chief Economist Christopher Thornberg, Ph.D.,the initiative will include the development of an Industry Performance Index (IPI) focused on:
โ€ข Business activity & market growth
โ€ข Workforce capacity & operational pressure
โ€ข Revenue & business model health
โ€ข Technology & AI adoption

The announcement will be presented by Michael Barnes tomorrow, Tuesday, June 2 from 9:20โ€“9:35 AM at ESX 2026 on the Main Stage.
