That’s a wrap on our Spring Series for the BIPOC Professional Network
Thank you to every presenter, sponsor, attendee, and supporter who poured into this community throughout the season. Your presence, knowledge, and commitment to culturally responsive care continue to remind us that healing and growth happen in connection.
We closed out the series learning more about 5NP AcuDetox and experiencing its grounding impact firsthand — such a meaningful way to end this chapter together.
We’ll be taking a summer break and returning in August for our Fall Series 🍂 Until then, stay connected and follow along for future CEUs, networking events, collaborations, and community offerings.
Grateful for this growing community and excited for what’s ahead 💜

We had a powerful and thought-provoking presentation led by Jose “Pepe” Lopez, Ph.D., LPC-S, CSC (TX) on Financial Therapy and the cultural narrative: “El que no tranza, no avanza.”
Together, we explored the intersection of mental health and financial habits—how our beliefs, upbringing, and lived experiences shape the way we relate to money, worth, and survival.
These conversations matter. Because healing isn’t just emotional—it’s also financial, cultural, and systemic.
✨ Thank you to everyone who continues to show up, engage, and grow in community.
Join us for our final Spring event before summer break!

3 years of community, connection, and culturally responsive care.
This month marks three years of hosting the BIPOC Professional Network. What started as a vision to bring BIPOC clinicians together has grown into a meaningful space for learning, collaboration, and strengthening culturally responsive care in our communities.
I’m deeply grateful to the clinicians who have attended, the organizations who sponsor our gatherings, and the presenters who have shared their time and wisdom with our network. This space exists because of you.
This Friday is also special for me personally — for the first time since creating the network, I’ll be presenting.

A huge thank-you to ’s Bryan Tzeng, LPC-S, and Brian Kim, LPC-Associate for today’s powerful CEU + Networking presentation:
“Culturally Attuned: Understanding How to Work with Collectivist Communities.”
Your lived experiences brought this topic to life — reminding us to stay curious, honor the complex layers of adaptation, and normalize the lived experiences of our clients while helping them find balance between supporting their familia and authentic self.
We left grounded, inspired, and reminded that culturally responsive work starts with humility, attunement, and embodied presence.
