Today I had the opportunity to participate at the "Sickle Cell Day at the Capitol" This is a disease that is primarily found in Black Communities. My personal experience growing up as a child in Nigeria I had several friends and family that were affected by SCD. I met 2 young women from Savannah who have SCD and they brought to my attention of the limited resources available to them. We can do more in Georgia. Let us make Georgia the #1 place Globally that addresses the needs of SCD patients
