Willard Speedway

Thursday at Willard Speedway started off with fireworks as the American All Star Series came calling with an exciting 40 Lap Pro Late Feature. Thirty entries were whittled down to 24 in an action packed race that went caution free except for an early seven car pileup taking out several competitors including Jimmy “Newport Nightmare” Owen’s piloting the Dixon Chasis #99 and an incident involving the leader Zac Sise who dominated the race early until a crash ended his night.
The final 30 laps became three man battle between Skylar Marler, Nicholas Byrd and Willard regular William Rose.
Once the leaders found the rear of the field it became a two man battle as Byrd and Marlar raced door to door and pedal to the floor, slicing and dicing through lapped traffic until Marlar was able to beat Boyd to the finish line. Skylar Marlar took home the big check as Nicholas Boyd and William Rose rounded out the top three.
The Modified Feature Winner was Jimmy Lennox, Jr, with Caiden Yates and Nathan Martin rounding out your top three. The Sport Mod Feature fogged out with five laps to go with Cooper Taylor, Bryston Guthrie and Dakota Rayburn your top three. The Four Cylinder Series will be made up as double features at our next event due to the fog out. We also want to congratulate our Juicebox Winners Kyra Nelson and Emma Keeton.
