Weld Food Bank

We are proud to recognize Thompson Thrift as our Business Volunteer of the Month! Last month, Thompson Thrift joined us for their first volunteer experience at Weld Food Bank, bringing 25 new volunteer faces ready to serve our community. Together, their team contributed 50 hours of volunteer service, helping support our mission to provide food and hope to neighbors facing food insecurity throughout Weld County.

We are incredibly grateful for Thompson Thrift's enthusiasm, teamwork, and commitment to giving back. Welcoming 25 new volunteers at once made a meaningful impact on our operations and introduced a wonderful new community partner to our organization.

Our annual Summer Food Drive is on Saturday, June 20th, from 9am to 3pm at 14 sites around Weld County. We need more volunteers to make this food drive as successful as possible. Shifts are split into two time slots: 9am to 12pm and 12pm to 3pm.

We invite individuals, families, businesses, and community groups to join us for this always impactful task. You will assist with collecting donations, sorting food, greeting community members, and supporting event operations throughout the day.

The summer slowdown has hit our volunteer shifts as people take much-deserved time off. However, as you know, hunger does not slow down this time of year. This upcoming week, we desperately need help with our lunchtime food distribution shifts at our warehouse. The times for the shifts are:

-Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday: 11:00am to 1:00pm
-Wednesday: 12:30pm to 3:30pm

If you've never volunteered for this opportunity, it involves preloading carts for neighbors visiting our Emergency Food and Senior Feeding programs.
