Ray Nitschke Bridge update: still closed. 😅

For anyone trying to get around downtown Green Bay, the Ray Nitschke Memorial Bridge is currently still closed for maintenance work.

The City originally had a shorter closure window planned, but the project was extended after crews ran into unforeseen circumstances. The city hasn’t publicly listed the exact issue, so for now the main update is that the bridge is scheduled to reopen to vehicle traffic on Thursday, July 2, 2026.

The detour is still routing traffic around using Broadway, Walnut Street, and Monroe Avenue.
