Saturday night marked the debut of the STARS super truck racing series at HRS. 12 trucks took to the high banks in what proved to be an action packed race. At the wave of the green flag the #11 Joey Johnson and the #66 Bradley Carter get together sending #66 Carter into the inside wall and a complete restart. ON the restart #35 Parker Henegar takes the lead as the middle of the pack goes three wide into turn three on lap 2. #21 Zack Graham and #12 Cameron Berry are door to door for third on lap 5 with Graham taking the spot. Caution comes out on lap 7 as the #59 Bryan Faulkner spins in corner two. #66 Carter gets a slight advantage for the lead on the restart with #23 Mitchell Walls hot on his bumper. #23 Walls takes the lead on lap 10. #12 Berry tries to challenge #35 Henegar for fourth on lap 17, but Henegar is able to hold his position. #2 Robbie Edger and #12 Berry race door to door for fifth on lap 24, with Berry having the slight advantage. Lapped traffic gets in the way as #2 Edger tries again for fifth. Lap 29 Edger gets by Berry for fifth and challenges #35 Henegar for fourth and takes the spot. # 92 Michael Neely spins in corner three on lap 38 bringing out the caution.After the restart #37 Garrett Finley, #59 Bryan Faulkner, and #39 Gary Adcock get together causing the Faulkner to go up onto Adcock with all three trucks coming to a stop heading into turn one bringing out the red flag. All three drivers are o.k. and track officials get the track cleaned up and are able to go back to green flag racing. On the restart its #23 Mitchell Walls and #66 Bradley Carter door to door with Walls taking the lead coming off of corner two. #2 Robbie Edger tries to challenge #21 Zack Graham for third on lap 47 but Edger falls short. Lap 48 #2 Edger, #12 Berry and #35 Parker Henegar get together on the front stretch once again bringing out the red flag. All drivers are once again o.k. and officials get ready to go back to green flag racing. On the restart it will be a green, white, checker. #23 Mitchell Walls takes the checkers first followed by #66 Bradley Carter, #21 Zack Graham, #35 Parker Henegar,and #85 Joseph Davis.
