The Three County Continuum of Care will be holding a collection drive at the Greenfield Public Library on Wednesday, July 15, from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm to support the creation of Emergency Summer Cooling Kits for our unhoused neighbors. Your donations will help provide essential items to those in need, ensuring they stay safe and comfortable during the summer heat.
By contributing to the collection drive, you will directly impact the well-being of our community members facing the harsh summer conditions.
Let's come together to make a difference. Your generosity can help provide relief and safety to those who need it the most. Thank you for your support! For a complete list of donatable items, go to:

Greenfield Public Library is pleased to present FreeWrite, a writing group of local authors, in the Community Meeting Room on Wednesday, July 15th at 6 pm, to celebrate the publishing of their next anthology.
FreeWrite of Franklin County is an ongoing creative writing workshop for women in recovery, facilitated by Amie Hyson and Gretchen Krull. The library group meets weekly on Tuesdays and encourages each participant to explore their unique voice through the written word. FreeWrite believes that there is no wrong way to write, that each of us has a unique voice and that bringing that voice to life, on the page, helps us to heal & grow. This book launch and reading will include women from both the library group and another community group.
Hear what members of FreeWrite have been working on at this reading, and get a sneak peek of the print anthology, which will also be available at the event to purchase by donation.
For further information, contact Jesse Cole at [email protected] or call (413) 772-1544.
This program, sponsored by the Friends of the Greenfield Public Library, is free and open to the public.

There's still room in the Still Life Club! This week it will meet on Wednesday, not Thursday.
Join local artist Danielle Lucier on Wednesday, July 8 at 4:00 pm for “Thursday Still Life Club”, a monthly workshop designed for drawing or painting a still life and work on observational skills.
There is nothing quite like spending a couple of hours focused on creating a piece of art. It's soothing for the mind and the soul. This month we’ll be exploring pastels and charcoal. All materials will be provided and all skill levels are welcome.
This class is part of our Summer Roundhouse Series. Participants are encouraged to use the skills they’ve learned to make a project to enter at this fall’s Franklin County Fair. We will hold sessions in mid-August to assist with framing and entering arts and crafts into the Roundhouse. Participants may also use the Makerspace and classroom materials throughout the summer.
This program, made possible thanks to a grant from the Greenfield Local Cultural Council and the Franklin County Fair , is free and intended for teens and adults, ages 13+. No experience is necessary.
Pre-registration is encouraged: greenfieldpl.libcal.com/event/17079403
