What are your aspirations in life? Every treasure we desperately seek is in vain if our heart is not rooted in the primary pursuit of Christ. Wow.

This is counter-cultural, radical; seemingly idiotic. But not for the Christ follower.

Ask Jesus to be your primary; seek eternity, not wealth or inclusion. Wealth and riches are not guaranteed to be here tomorrow (as v5 mentions) and gives a false sense of security.

Start rethinking the root of your aspirations.

Humility and gentleness is a byproduct of love. In these crazy times we are in, find time to show biblical love; being humble and gentle. Read Ephesians 4:1-3 today.

Patience is a stance. This stance, (from the next sentence), is rooted in being brave and courageous.
How has your “patient stance” been looking!? Practice being actively patient, not passively patient.

I love how this verse commands us to wait patiently but DONT stop there.

What are we living for?

Typically that can be a loaded thought.
We believe Christ walked this earth and died for our sins (John 3:16). Because HE died, we can have faith (Ephesians 2:8) in him and have worth, purpose and reason to live. With that grace, it’s Kingdom over Everything. With this motto, rejoice with those who rejoice, we mourn with those who mourn (Romans 12:15).

Kingdom over Everything means do what the Lord requires of us: to act justly, to love mercy, and walk humbly WITH our God (Micah 6:8). To recognize Jesus as glorious and not show favoritism (James 2:1) Careful not to deceive yourself, do what Gods word says (James 1:22)

Kingdom over Everything.

// Think Back //
The world has its own idea of who you are,
but it doesn’t really know you, not as Jesus
does. Only through Jesus do we find out
who we really are. Will you listen to him
today?
It’s in Christ that we find out who we are and
what we are living for. - Ephesians 1:11 (The
Message)
