The coolest thing happened the other day..

I was finishing up a photoshoot at a nearby park when this sweet family approached me and asked if I'd be willing to do an impromptu photo session for them!! I had an amazing time with them!! I'm so glad I was able to say yes!!

I've been getting back into my photography again recently and these two just helped me to fall back in love with it all over again!!

All because two people fell in love!!
This extended family is amazing and I feel so honored to have been selected as the photographer to capture them all together!!

Although I have been shooting hockey photos for some years now, I never thought I would see the day that I was shooting senior hockey photos professionally!!

While I enjoy playing around with fancy edits, there's something special about the true-color photos that I couldn't resist sharing!

I'm not sure you can't get much cuter than this brother and sister duo!!

The thought of seeing senior pictures this year is stirring up a mix of emotions within me.

It's hitting differently because it's not just about admiring the milestones of others; it's about realizing that my own son will need his own senior pictures taken. As much as I may want to cling to the past and deny it, the reality is that he'll be graduating next year, ready to embark on his own journey into adulthood.

So, while part of me wishes I could remain in denial a little while longer, I know that this milestone is inevitable and that embracing it is a necessary part of the journey.

This senior photo session is particularly meaningful because it features Big Rig, one of our goalies who has been a part of our team for numerous seasons. Reflecting on these images, I'm struck by the profound journey these young athletes have undertaken, from their early days on the ice to this pivotal moment as seniors.

Congratulations to the Detwiler family for winning my first drawing for a free photo session!! I could not have asked for a more perfect family to win!! I'm so very thankful I was able to capture your family on camera!!

The hubby and I took a few of the kids exploring after work today. We all had a great time and I FOUND A NEW PLACE TO ADD TO MY FAVORITES FOR PHOTO SHOOTS!! I'm bummed I didn't have my actual camera today but the phone photos didn't turn out half bad!
