First Vote In 2017: A Self-Serving Pay Raise!!!


Yesterday Senator Donoghue voted to raise the pay of the top legislatures and the upper echelon of the Democratic party. To be clear, this pay hike raises the salary of the Speaker of the House and the Senate President by 40% and will cost the taxpayers roughly 18 Million Dollars. The pay raise bill was unveiled on Monday night and was passed by the Senate on Wednesday. No public hearing was held on the proposal.

It took the legislators 5 months to pass an important bill to combat opioid addiction and yet the Democrats found a way to ram this pay hike through in a matter of days. Voters should be disappointed in Ms. Donoghue's decision. It is another sign that the Democrats are still out of touch with their constituents and continue to act in a manner lacking transparency.

Voters should also be aware that their Republican State Representative Sheila Harrington once again listened to her constituency and voted against the raise.

Third Congressional District Caucus

DATE: Saturday, April 30th 2016

CONVENES: 10.00AM ( see added information)

LOCATION: Groton/Dunstable Regional High School
703 Chicopee Row Groton MA

DIRECTIONS: Go to Groton Center either rte 225 from Westford or Littleton, or rte 40 ( Groton Road) South, if coming from Lowell or Chelmsford. When you get into the center of Groton head westerly on Main Street toward Pepperell. Just outside the center (very short distance) the road will fork. Take your right at the fork. This is Hollis Street. Stay on Hollis Street. You will come to another intersection by the Groton Cemetery. Don’t get fooled, stay straight ahead. The road now becomes Chicopee Row. Stay on the road. It is a bit of ride until you come to Dunstable Groton Regional High School. The school will be on the left hand side of the road.

ADDED INFORMATION:

1. While the Official Starting time is 10.00AM, it is strongly recommended that you register very early, particularly if you haven’t pre-registered. Many are recommending 8.00AM to 8.30AM

2. You must present a valid Mass identification card (Driver’s License) in order to get into the Caucus.

3. The Caucus will begin at 10AM sharp. They may shut the doors, not sure

4. You will vote on paper ballots and will have to print the name of your candidate

• Round 1: Two Delegates must be elected for 2 TRUMP seats
• Round 2: One Delegate must be elected for 1 CRUZ seat
• Round 3: Two Alternate Delegates must be elected for 2 TRUMP seats
• Round 4: One Alternate Delegate must be elected for 1 TRUMP seat
