I can’t remember the last time I went 22 days without a drink.

Not only am I losing weight (and gut 😂), but when I stepped on the scale today and saw all 2s (a number that symbolizes balance and duality) it felt like a sign that I needed to share this.

Since my time in the Army, sleep has been a battle. Somewhere along the way, I built the habit of having a drink or 3, just to shut my mind off at night. It became an everyday routine, but because I was functional, I convinced myself that it wasn’t a problem.

When I started Laud, my mission was to create something that helped people navigate their mental health battles through creativity and conversation. What I didn’t expect was to find myself in one of the toughest battles of my own.

Life started tested me from every direction (my health, my mental, and in relationships I thought would never break). I kept asking, “Why is this happening to me?” Until I remembered the principle that I built Laud on: The ESREVER EFFECT.

Instead of asking “Why me?” I started asking, “What is this trying to teach me?”

That perspective changed everything!!

When I ask people to follow the Laud journey, I’m not asking them to buy a shirt. I’m inviting them into a conversation. Every design is embedded with a message…which is why I call our pieces medicine, as they’re meant to spark healing, not just make a statement.

Mental health has spent too long living in the shadows because of its uncomfortable and taboo nature. We’re changing that by creating something people can wear with pride that represents them, instead of hiding in silence.

Today I’m 22 days alcohol-free, lighter in body (lowkey zaddy 😅), clearer in mind, and finally living the message I’ve been asking others to believe in.

If you’re fighting a quiet battle, don’t numb it. Face it and reverse your perspective to find the lesson in it!
