Groves Police Department

Last week, members of the Groves Police Department attended the Crime Stoppers of Southeast Texas Back the Blue Brunch, where law enforcement officers from across Southeast Texas were recognized.

We are proud to share that Sgt. Macie Jackson was honored for her actions during a serious crash on September 20, 2025, involving a critically injured citizen.

Sgt. Jackson’s preparation, calm response, and leadership made a difference during a very difficult call. Her actions reflect great credit on her, our department, and the public safety partners who worked alongside us that day.

Outstanding work, Sgt. Jackson. We are proud to have you representing the Groves Police Department.

This past Saturday, Groves Police and Groves Fire conducted our second joint training exercise at Groves Primary School.

This training is built around real-world response and focuses on saving lives through quick, coordinated action. It goes beyond basic requirements. We train side by side with our Fire Department, right here in our own community, including across all PNGISD campuses in Groves, so we are ready to respond in the places we know best.

When something goes wrong, there is no time to figure it out. That’s why we train.

The safety of our community, especially our children, is always at the center of that work.

We appreciate PNGISD for continuing to work with us and allowing us to train in their schools. That cooperation allows us to stay sharp and prepared.

We will continue putting in the time and effort to make sure we are ready to respond when our community needs us.
