Growing up in a Balkan home, baklava was always saved for the most special occasions. I still remember my mom and my grandmother spending hours in the kitchen making it with so much love (and making sure we didn't sneak a piece first! 😄).

Today, I had the joy of making baklava for a friend's special occasion, and it brought back so many beautiful childhood memories. I love keeping these traditions alive and sharing a little taste of home with others.
