🚀 Space Camp had a special visit from NASA today!

A huge thank you to Victoria Jaye, Systems Engineer, and Johnny Hisaw, NASA Contracting Officer, for spending time with our campers. 🪐

Students explored Stennis Space Center through a virtual reality tour, checked out a model rocket, and even took home some NASA swag!

Thank you for helping make Space Camp an unforgettable experience! ⭐️

🚀 Space Camp Day 1 was a blast! 🪐

Our campers kicked off the week with astronaut training, teamwork activities, planetarium exploration, and hands-on STEM challenges!

They put their engineering skills to the test by designing a lunar lander to protect their “astronaut” (an egg 🥚) during landing. Campers worked together to brainstorm, build, test, and improve their designs just like real engineers!

We can’t wait to see what the rest of Space Camp has in store! ⭐️🌎

Sometimes the right people come into your organization long before the right role does. Jill has faithfully served on the Wayfinder Initiative Board of Directors, and today we’re thrilled to announce that she’ll also be serving as our Director of Educational Partnerships & Community Engagement.

Her passion for education, community, and servant leadership has already made a tremendous impact. Now she’ll be able to help advance our mission in an even greater capacity by building partnerships that create more opportunities for students, educators, and families.

We’re incredibly grateful for Jill’s leadership and excited for all that’s ahead. Welcome to this new chapter, Jill!

Join us for our Esports Gaming Days at Wayfinder Initiative on Monday, July 20 and Wednesday, July 22 from 9:00 AM–12:00 PM.

🎮 Ages 8–14
💲 $50 per day (register for one day or both!)
🍕 Pizza & drinks provided
🕹️ Bring your own controller if you'd like!
🏆 Friendly competitions and open play featuring games like Marvel Rivals, Overwatch, Fortnite, Rocket League, and Apex Legends.

That’s a wrap on Health & Human Performance Week! 💪🩺

We had an incredible week learning what it means to live a healthy lifestyle through hands-on activities, engaging STEM challenges, guest speakers, yoga, nutrition lessons, and active games.
