First Baptist Gunter

Mission Trip 2026 is complete and coming back to Gunter. God sometimes places you out of your comfort zone and he definitely did this year! We traveled to Hope, Arkansas to work for FBC Hope (Pastor Daniel Bramlett) in cleaning out an old school house to be remodeled for a rehabilitation facility for men with addictions. It was the worse kind of ‘yuck’ you can almost imagine but no one complained, just gloved and masked up and went to work! God blessed us as well as the men that helped us throw away books, computers, over head projectors, washer/dryers, etc and breakdown desks, chairs, tables for trash and scrap metal. Anything that a school would use was put in this building when not needed any longer (for storage)! 7 trash and 10 metal BIG dumpsters were filled! We didn’t finish the job (~75-80%) but definitely a huge movement in the right direction! Look forward to seeing what God does with this facility and these men!
