The Delta variant is creeping on us. I have been vaccinated and made sure my Mom who is 82 is vaccinated. My entire family had COVID and my Mom had COVID Pneumonia. She was in the hospital and had to wear oxygen when she got home. Thankfully she is fully recovered. After having COVID we made the decision to all get vaccinated. So now the DELTA virus is out and, for me, I have encouraged my Mom to stay home and to wear a mask when she is out. Be safe out there.

Please remember that elderly should still wear masks while in public even if they have been fully vaccinated. Protect our elderly. As a nurse and working in the hospital during COVID it was heart breaking to see COVID patients who could not have visitors. The hospital staff did step in. It was touching to see how they treated all the patients as if they were family.
