π€β¨ Serving with Excellence the city of Hamilton & Butler County π
We are incredibly grateful for our continued partnership with the Ohio Department of Development and the vital support provided by the Ohio Housing Trust Fund to our emergency shelter program. These resources are foundational to our mission, allowing us to walk alongside individuals and families as they build stability and move toward a brighter future.
We recently completed our official grant monitoring session, and we are humbled and thrilled to share some of the feedback from the Department:
βServe City is to be commended for the services it provides to homeless and low-income families and individuals in Butler County.β
This recognition belongs to our entire community, our dedicated staff, passionate volunteers, faithful donors, and the incredible resilience of the people we serve right here in Butler County.
Thank you, Ohio Department of Development, for investing in our neighbors and trusting us to do this vital work. Together, we are making hope a reality! π€β¨

As we look up at the fireworks and celebrate the incredible freedom and greatness of our nation this Fourth of July tonight, let us be reminded true patriotism also challenges us to look out for the neighbors who feel left behind in the shadows of crisis.
In a country as prosperous as ours, it remains a heartbreaking reality that so many individuals right here in Butler County wake up every single day fighting the exhausting, invisible battles of homelessness, housing instability, and food insecurity. True freedom is hard to pursue when your entire day is consumed by pure survival.
In our eyes, our volunteers are the ultimate local heroes. They are everyday citizens, families, local businesses, and church groups who look at local poverty and say, "Not in my neighborhood. Not on my watch." By stepping into the gap, serving meals, stocking our pantry, and breaking the crushing isolation of crisis, they are proving that every single link in our community matters.
True greatness is measured by how fiercely we protect and lift up our most vulnerable neighbors.
We just dropped a brand-new Independence Day blog post exploring what it means to live out active, community-driven patriotism on the front lines of service.
π Click the link to read it, and see how you can step up as a local hero today:
Independence Day on the Front Lines: Patriotism, Progress, and the Power of Community Heroes Every Fourth of July, our nation unites in a vibrant display of gratitude and celebration. We look up at skies lit by fireworks, wave the red, white, and blue, and reflect on the profound ideals that define our country: liberty, opportunity, and the unalienable right to pursue a better life. It is a...
