Hamilton Troop 33

Leadership starts with taking on new challenges.

This summer, Troop 33 has two Scouts participating in National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT)—one at Ge**er Scout Reservation and one at Camp Hiawatha!

With these two, Troop 33 now has four NYLT-trained Scouts currently in our troop. We’re proud of each of them for investing in their leadership and bringing those skills back to Troop 33.

Way to go, Scouts!

Your fireworks are gone.
The burgers are eaten.
The watermelon disappeared.
But those cans and bottles are probably still hanging around…

Bring them to Troop 33’s Returnable Bottle & Can Drive this Saturday at the Hamilton Food Center! Every return helps fund Scouting adventures, leadership opportunities, and service projects.

We’ll gladly take those post-Fourth of July leftovers off your hands

Happy 4th of July!

Six Troop 33 Scouts recently returned from an incredible week as part of the 2026 Mackinac Island Service Honor Guard with Troop 114.

Led by our own Ben Bosscher as Senior Patrol Leader, the week was filled with service, leadership, new experiences, and plenty of fun. But ask most Honor Guard scouts what they’ll remember most, and it’s the friendships they made.

One of the hardest parts of Honor Guard is leaving. After spending a week working, learning, and laughing together, saying goodbye to friends from across Michigan is never easy. The island has a way of feeling like home, and many of our scouts were already talking about next year before they even boarded the ferry.

We’re proud of the way these young men represented Troop 33 and grateful for the memories they made along the way. Congratulations on a great week!
