Our sympathies go out to the family of Willis Delker Jr. during their time of loss.
Willis Eldon Delker Jr. has departed faithfully at the age of 81 at Kettering Health Hamilton on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at 5:36pm after a lengthy illness. He was born on August 12, 1944, the son of Willis and Anna Mae (Becker) Delker. A graduate of Hamilton Catholic High School, he had attended St. Ann Catholic School and was a member of St. Peter in Chains Catholic Church. During his younger years, he was a Journeyman Electrician employed by Fisher Body, a newspaper carrier, and a rural mail carrier for Hamilton and other areas including Trenton. On the beautiful Spring day of May 2, 1970, he married Marcia Ann Young, an LPN at St. Ann Catholic Church. They spent a lot of nice time in Washington State. Towards the end of 1970, Willis was drafted into the US Army, serving in Phang Rang, Vietnam. Later in life, they had five sons, all of which, just like their father, enjoyed watching trains. He also loved reading comics, word games, hunting mushrooms, travel, and liked baseball, football, and basketball. He had great moments and fun with his dogs, Smokey and Upton, and a few other dogs. Besides his wife, he leaves his sons, Stuart Delker of Middletown, Dean (Joy) Delker of Maineville, Elliott Delker of Oxford, and Stacy Delker of Trenton; and grandchildren, Avery Delker and Logan Delker. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willis and Anna Mae; and son, Makinen Delker. The family would like to express their appreciation to the medical staff at Kettering Health Hamilton for their fast efforts, his doctors over the years, their close neighbors, and all his many friends. A Visitation will be held from 4pm until 6pm on Thursday, April 16, 2026 at Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home, Ross Avenue at South āDā Street, Hamilton. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 9:30am on Friday, April 17, 2026 at St. Peter in Chains Catholic Church, 382 Liberty Avenue, Hamilton.
