To the Fringe Coffee House Community,

When we re-opened our new location in September 2022, we were filled with awe and excitement at the support that came not only from you, but also State of Ohio grants and other organizations. We are beyond thankful and encouraged at the outpouring of support. We wholeheartedly believe that our core mission on bringing awareness to second-chance employment for those coming out of homelessness, addiction or former incarceration has been achieved. And for that we are grateful to the Hamilton community.

However, running a non-profit employment experience does not come without its challenges. While we have made great gains seen in the lives of many employees who have received their second chance through the coffee house, we have come to the realization that at this time it is not a sustainable business model. After several months of careful consideration, Fringe Industries Workforce has made the difficult and bittersweet decision to close the Fringe Coffee House. We hope you will join us for one more cup of hope, grace and compassion, otherwise known as coffee on our last day this coming Saturday, February 22nd.

Fringe Industries’ Workforce Non-Profit will still be in operation for training, supporting and placing those in need of a second chance into various employment opportunities partnering to build stronger communities. We are not slowing down! Rather, we are pivoting ourselves to a sustainable market of second-chance employment. Our mission is still to offer hope, along with the tools and pathways to a successful and self-sustaining life. In doing so, our goal is to create a community of reintegrated people who are set up to thrive in business throughout this region. As we begin our next season and transition into the Workforce Program full-time, we will share updates with information about our ever-growing partnerships and services we are able to provide.
