Update on Justice for Trop:
Apparently people are reaching out to Tangipahoa Parish Animal Shelter on our behalf and we are thankful for your efforts!! The sad part is we were informed that their response was that dog remains at large because the trap they set to catch the dog was tied up blaming us. Is trapping a vicious dog your only means of protecting our community??? We have a copy of the email and its directly from Parish President Robbie Miller. When this dog escalates to a child hope you can sleep at night.

Here are the facts summarized for a shorter post:
- Animal control left a trap set.
- We witnessed the dog sniff and walk away several times and choose to go to our fence attempting to get in where the cats were.
- Trap stayed set for a few days - caught other neighbors cats and wildlife.
-WE already exhausted had to wake up and release and reset the trap all hours of the night so they did not injure themselves trying to escape.
- Yes Chip Fitz called me personally and I told him the trap was useless- the dog is well fed - is not interested in any bait - extremely PREY driven. He was told we would zip tie it open because we were tired of MONITORING HIS USELESS TRAP.
- We still baited and monitored the trap- Dog had no intention of going in it. Animal Control picked up the trap.
- Trap was set at a neighbors home who also had filed complaint of the dog attacking her cats and biting at her window screens at the cats in her window.
- Again trap caught nothing but neighbors outdoor cats! Even worse this lady worked nights so they stayed in the trap until she was able to release the next day. On top of that there were paw marks in the mud as if a dog was trying to get to the cats in the trap!! Can you imagine the terror the cat felt????
- Dog still not trapped !!!
To sum it up - sorry Chip Fitz- Robbie Miller- its not our fault, nor our responsibility to monitor your traps you just drop off and don't check for days. In the 10 years of doing TNR in our parish serving the community We never left a trap un monitored or expected someone else to do so.

Over the weekend the neighbor messaged about the traps at her house... SMH

UPDATE - we reached the $1000!! but lets not stop there!! The more we can collect the better their catio can be! The bigger it can be!! Thank you to everyone who has donated - your name will be engraved on the catio door along with new donors!!!

We are only $350 away from having our donor match the $1000 !!! Please donate today and help us get there!!! The cats are so ready to live their life again in safety !!!

UPDATE !!! We have an anonymous donor willing to match donations up to $1000 that will double your donation !!! PLEASE PLEASE donate this would be a huge blessing !!

This fundraiser is to help us build a nice outdoor sanctuary that would connect to our kitty shed that we plan on adding AC to. With the recent attacks on our outdoor colony at our vice president‘s house and the loss of one of our babies, we see this as our only option for now since there has been no resolution through our parish officials. Please consider donating to help keep our babies safe in the yard that they have been in for some of them up to the last seven years. This has been their home. There safe place !! Any amount that you can donate would be of a huge help. We are so thankful for all of the people following our story with this situation who are praying for us and supporting us !!! Please continue sharing our post to continue bringing awareness to this unresolved nightmare!!!

Pictured is Trop who lost his life to this aggressive dog! We miss him dearly!!
