🍄RRWTYP BTS PT. I 🍄

- we recorded the basic tracks for Ring Round with the Yellow Page in a cabin with a high, vaulted ceiling; using a single Russian made tube condenser microphone placed in the loft as the core sound that the individual tracks were mixed around.
- another fun microphone technique was placing a Electro-Voice 635A inside an old Spanish wine jug as a weird “room” mic. It really sounded like a being stuck inside a submarine.The jug mic is most prominently featured as a percussive element on the title track “Ring Round with the Yellow Page”. This was done by placing the jug on a table, smacking the table, and recording the signal from the mic inside of the jug.
