📢 Attention: Letting the gas out before final fill has reduced the scrap rate to 0. This casting was thick enough to do this. Before we started smoking out the cores, the castings were getting huge gas bubbles under the surface. With our 50+ years or experience, we troubleshot the problem and found how to make this casting a success!
It’s not traditional, but it worked. Pushing the metal just would have made tons of scrap. Thanks for watching!
