What happened in between wasn’t magic.

It was countless choices.
Hard work.
Support.
Accountability.
People who refused to give up.
And a community that believed recovery was possible even when the road was difficult.

What makes this story even more meaningful to us is that years ago, while Kevin was still struggling with addiction, his mother volunteered with BeMoreCaring. She continued showing up, serving others, and loving her son through one of the hardest seasons of their lives.

Today, Kevin serves as BeMoreCaring’s Peer Support Director.

He spends his days encouraging others, sharing hope, walking alongside people in recovery, and reminding them that their story is not over.

This is why we do what we do.

Not because every story ends this way.
Not because recovery is easy.
Not because there are guarantees.

We do it because people matter.

We do it because we believe no one should be defined by the worst chapter of their life.

We do it because sometimes the person who needs hope today becomes the person giving hope tomorrow.

Kevin, we are incredibly proud of you.

Thank you for allowing us to share your story and for showing others what is possible when determination, recovery, community, and grace come together.

Celebrating our Eva tonight as she acknowledges her first year clean! 🎉

We met Eva in November, and she has been a faithful weekly volunteer on our B1 Wednesday crew ever since!

She’s an incredible person with a heart of gold, she’s a nurse which is incredibly helpful for our outreach, and she has previous outreach experience from when she lived in FL…so we were head over heels when she said she wanted to jump in with us!

We’re excited to be able to celebrate with her this evening, congrats Eva-the sky is the limit girl! 🌟
