Job Overview: WFNI is searching for a multi-media content producer who can create engaging and informative content for use on air, online and on social media. Our new team member will write, produce, edit, update and aggregate content for multiple platforms on a daily basis. Responsibilities include writing, producing and developing short and long form written and visual content for the WFNI web-site and additionally providing content for use as on air. The ideal candidate will have a sense of what’s important to the WFNI audience and the ability to tell stories in the written “voice” of the station and its unique brand.
Qualified candidates will have exceptional writing skills and experience in audio, video and photo editing. Must be a self-motivator and create strong collaborative relationships with on-air hosts, contributors, the news department, the digital media team and others in the organization. Willingness to work a flexible schedule is a must.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Creating, developing and aggregating content for WFNI digital and social channels from the programming perspective of WFNI.
• Writing and delivering clear, concise articles/blogs with text, audio and visuals.
• Contributing on-air to talk shows.
• Contribute new and thoughtful ideas at various editorial and digital meetings.
• Researching, writing and producing content for special on air programming
• Interviewing news-makers for web or on air content.
• Shooting and editing video for website as needed
• Staying abreast of trends and changes to web and social media strategy
• Gather and understand media data and analytics to provide concise reports
• Ability to reliably work big news events and cover breaking news.
• Other duties as assigned
