Congratulations to Take Office Alumna Chi Nguyen, who will join the Equal Voice Organization in January as their Executive Director!

From Chi:
"I am delighted to lead Equal Voice in its mission to see more women and gender diverse representation elected. Our inclusion is an important part of the pathway to a better and more democratic Canada. Stronger reflection and diversity of representation are goals that I have advocated for my entire career."

Here's what one 2020 'Pathways to Politics' alumnae had to say about the program:

"I encourage any woman with a passion for public policy, an affinity for political campaigns, or even the slightest interest in running for office, to enroll in the Take Office leadership accelerator.

Founded by Jeri Powell, the Take Office program refines the skills necessary to advocate for important causes.

As a participant, I enjoyed learning from the leading practitioners who shared their experiences and how they overcame adversity in their professional journeys. The distinguished instructors were open to having interactive and engaging conversations on strategic principles to consider when pursuing a path in politics and public policy.

Engaging in the program gave me a comprehensive understanding of how I could run my own political campaign or support another potential political candidate for office.

If you are thinking twice about enrolling in the program, do not! I am not just speaking for myself when I say you will have an invaluable experience that will enhance your leadership skills in order to have the confidence to make a difference in the future of politics." - Tess A.

In January 2020, Take Office founder Jeri Powell created Pathways to Politics at Columbia University | SIPA, following its success, Take Office was founded.
