Today, we are thrilled to feature the wonderful Mrs. McClain, our fantastic Principal Intern—pictured here sharing some huge, contagious smiles! 😁🤠

Mrs. McClain brings a world of amazing experiences to Hickory Ridge Elementary! You might want to ask her about her very first concert, because she has an ultimate fan story: she got to go backstage to meet New Kids On The Block, took photos with every single member, and hung out with her favorite, Jordan Knight! 🎤❤️ Her love for adventure has also taken her all the way to beautiful Pucón, Chile! 🇨🇱🌋

When it comes to reading, her absolute favorite children's story is the classic mystery Miss Nelson Is Missing! 👩‍🏫🕵️‍♀️ If she could pick anyone in the galaxy to sit down with, her dream fictional dinner guest would be none other than Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi! ⚔️🌌 Most importantly, her heartfelt advice to her younger elementary self is a lesson every Cowboy can live by: “Stay true to yourself, and don't be afraid to make mistakes.” 💖✨

Mrs. Linthicum's journey to Hickory Ridge Elementary is a beautiful full circle—as a kid, her absolute dream job was to grow up and become a teacher! 🏫❤️ When she's not helping our Cowboys grow, you might find her rockin' out to her very first concert favorite, Kenny Chesney 🎸🤠, or dreaming of incredible adventures like exploring Thailand! 🐘🌴

She loves diving into a good story, naming the modern classroom favorite The Good Egg as her top children's book 🥚📖, and sticking to a true timeless classic with Beauty and the Beast as her favorite Disney movie! 🌹✨

Ms. Branscum has always had a passion for a good story. Back when she was in elementary school, her absolute favorite subject was reading—she even won a contest for reading the most books in the second grade! 🏆📖 When it was time for recess, you could find her jumping rope and mastering games like "red hot peppers!" 🌶️🦘

For her very first concert, she rocked out to Pat Boone (and she knows most of our younger Cowboys might ask, "Who?"). 😉🎶 Her absolute favorite Disney movie of all time is the classic Bambi 🦌🌲, and if you want to know the secret to her heart, her go-to treat is a frozen Ding D**g! 🍫❄️
