The Explorers have been learning safety for gear. Today they are taking it one step further and learning safety for a burn that is just for them.

Making sure you have clean bunker gear is important. Keeps them from wearing out faster, as well as keeps the gear performing at its highest for all fire calls. Carcinogenic chemicals can cling to fabric from fires that can cause health problems. This is why we keep them clean and teach the Explorers proper techniques on how to clean the gear.
