Harrison Bands

Dear Friends, Family, Local Businesses, and Community Supporters,

For the first time in our program’s history, the Harrison Band is heading to the Bands of America (BOA) Regional Championship in Memphis!

This is a monumental milestone for our students and a testament to the countless hours of hard work and dedication. Stepping onto a national stage is an honor, and we are so proud to represent our community at this prestigious event.

We are taking this historic leap because we believe deeply in the impact of this event. As the organization states:

"Music for All’s mission is to create, provide, and expand positively life-changing experiences through music. Our Bands of America Championships provide opportunities to perform in the finest venues, receive quality evaluation, and to observe other bands, all in a positive, affirming, and celebratory atmosphere. Participating bands receive commentary from the most skilled judges and educators in the nation.”

BOA is, essentially, the top organization for scholastic marching bands. The NFL/NBA/MLB of high school marching band, if you will!

To ensure our students have the best possible first experience on this national level, the Harrison Band Boosters organization is kicking of a new Harrison Bands Sponsorship Program. These funds will directly cover transportation, lodging, and food, allowing our students to focus entirely on their performance. 2 charter buses, hotel rooms, and food for 110 students is no small task and we need your help! Join us tonight for the HMS Spring Band Concert! 🎶🎺🥁

Tonight’s concert will feature performances by:
• 7th Grade Band
• 7th & 8th Grade Percussion Ensembles
• 8th Grade Band

Admission is free, and we would love to see our community come out and support our talented student musicians. We are proud of all the hard work and dedication these students have put into preparing for tonight’s performance! 🎵💙

It is Spring Concert Season!

We hope you will join us in the Harrison High School Performing Arts Center this Tuesday 4/28 and next Thursday 5/7.

The High School Concert will feature: Jazz Lab, Jazz Band, Percussion Ensemble, Concert Band, and Symphonic Band. Both the Concert Band and Symphonic Band will be premiering brand new pieces of music as well!

The Middle School Concert will feature: 7th Grade Band, 7th and 8th Grade Percussion Ensembles, and the 8th Grade Band!

As always admission is free! Join us for evenings of wonderful music to cap off a great school year!

Congratulations to all of the HHS Theater Department for a spectacular run of Footloose! We are extra proud of all these band students who had a role in the production!
