A downtown isn’t defined by a single building or event.
It’s the collection of businesses, people, history, and daily activity that gives it life.
Every ordinary day adds to the story.

This business is gone, but its sign remains.
Details like this are part of what gives downtown its character and reminds us of the people and businesses that helped shape its story.
Preservation isn’t always about saving an entire building. Sometimes it’s about keeping small pieces of history visible for the next generation.

Downtown isn’t just a destination.
It’s where our community’s history, businesses, organizations, events, and everyday moments come together.
Every building, improvement, volunteer effort, and investment helps shape the experience people have here.
That’s why downtown matters.

Behind every strong downtown is a group of people who care deeply about their community. 🤗
Meet Amanda Woodworth, Vice President and Business Development Officer at Signature Bank and a member of the Main Street Harrison Board.
Amanda has spent more than 20 years building relationships, supporting local businesses, and helping people reach their goals. She also serves on the board of Hospice of the Hills and has been involved with Kiwanis for nearly 20 years, with a special passion for supporting youth and volunteerism.
Amanda loves downtown’s hometown feel and the community spirit that makes it special.
Her perfect reset includes a little outdoor adventure, an ATV ride, a boat on the water, and a little wind in her hair. 😄
We’re proud to have Amanda helping guide the future of downtown Harrison.

Did You Know?
Built in 1929, the Montgomery Ward Building served Harrison shoppers for 50 years.
Take a look at the decorative designs in the display windows. They’re one of many architectural details that add character to downtown Harrison and connect us to its history.
Nearly 100 years later, the building remains an important part of downtown’s story.

Behind every strong downtown is a group of people who care deeply about its future. 🤗
Meet Pat Brown, a member of the Main Street Harrison Board.
Pat has a deep connection to Harrison and its history. His grandfather, Leonard Brown, served the City of Harrison for more than 40 years as Water Superintendent and later Director of Public Works. He helped bring Beaver Lake water to Harrison and played a key role in developing the city’s water and wastewater infrastructure.
That connection to community and public service is one of the many reasons Pat is passionate about downtown and the future of Harrison.
We’re excited to continue introducing the people who help guide Main Street Harrison and work to preserve the character, history, and vitality of downtown.
