With so many options, choosing homeschool curriculum can be overwhelming. These tips can help.
1. Research: Talk to other parents with students and values similar to yours to see what worked for them. Try out sample lessons from the curriculum.
2. Discuss: Review your favorite options with your spouse and children. In addition to academics, other factors may be worldview and values, price, and ease of use.
3. Pray: Praying about curriculum choices gives God the opportunity and invitation to direct your thinking.

How do you take a book as vast as the Bible and begin introducing it to young minds? Many Christian families have some type of devotional time. Family and personal devotions complement the structured approach to Bible study that Christian Light Bible curriculum offers.
Including the Bible as part of your school routine helps introduce Scripture intentionally and consistently. At the same time, Bible class is not “just another subject.”
Children love stories, and the Bible is full of them.
In the lower levels, Christian Light Bible teaches Bible stories in chronological order, introducing simple truths along with Bible history, geography, and cultures of the Old and New Testaments.
Our Bible courses look a little different at different grade levels. Here’s what you can expect:
Grades 1 & 2: Lessons include a Bible story and an activity page. Students are not tested on their work.
Grades 3-6: Lessons are built on Bible stories that are retold in the student LightUnits. Grades 3 & 4 include a LightUnit based on a fictional story that teaches Jewish culture. Grades 5 & 6 include exercises with a specific focus: Know God, Know Your Bible, Lay of the Land, Those Curious Customs, and Take It to Heart.
Grades 7-9: Students read Bible selections guided by commentary. The lessons have both educational and devotional aspects.
