Victory Weekend

We may sometimes think that since he was God, Jesus had life under
control. But He said that, like us, He could do nothing on His own; He
had to rely on His heavenly Father (John 5:30). The author and sustainer of
all creation chose to step down, become like us, and live in the mess of our
world. He did it to give His life in service even for people who rejected Him,
to bring them hope, and then, to die, labeled a criminal.
“Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart,
and you will find rest for your souls.”
