Celebrating 100 episodes of our Brand Story podcast has given our team a chance to look back at the conversations that challenged us, encouraged us, and shaped the way we think about our work.
For our marketing and creative lead, Taylor, one of those conversations was “Running Toward Challenges” with Kristen Cavallo. Kristen’s approach to decision-making — especially her belief that fear can be a source of motivation rather than something to avoid — offered a new way for Taylor to think about stepping into uncertainty.
What stood out even more was Kristen’s honesty about leadership and the reality that growth often comes with discomfort. Her stories highlighted the balance of challenge and reward that leaders face, and the mindset it takes to lean into difficult moments instead of shying away from them.

We’re celebrating 100 episodes of our Brand Story podcast by highlighting the conversations that have shaped our team. The ones that challenged us, inspired us, and stuck with us long after the mics turned off.
For our videographer & editor, Billy, that episode was "Keeping Creativity Alive" with Brian Thibodeau. He said the episode reminded him why he loves his work: experimenting with new ideas, solving problems from fresh perspectives, and collaborating closely with others.
It’s a reminder that curiosity isn’t optional, careers don’t have to follow straight lines, and some of the best ideas show up when you give yourself permission to explore.
If you haven't listened to Brian's episode yet, or maybe you want a refresher, you can find it on our website https://www.gravitygroup.com/podcast/keeping-creativity-alive/?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=organic&utm_campaign=brand_story_100_celebration or wherever you listen to podcasts.

As we celebrate 100 episodes of our Brand Story podcast, we’re revisiting the conversations that hit the deepest.
For our project and communications coordinator, Jordan, that episode was "The Devil Emails at Midnight" with Mita Mallick, a powerful discussion about the 13 archetypes of bad bosses and what good leadership really looks like.
She said Mita gave language for something far too common: toxic bosses and unrealistic expectations disguised as “leadership.” It was also a good reminder of what healthy leadership looks like — paying attention, doing better, and never underestimating the impact of how you show up.

Out of all 100 episodes of our Brand Story podcast, there’s one that our president and host of the podcast, Steve Gilman, returns to most often, and that episode is "Building Brand with Unreasonable Hospitality" with Will Guidara.
Years ago, while waiting tables, Steve stepped away mid-shift to get a young boy the Happy Meal he actually wanted. That small gesture changed the entire night — and taught him what hospitality really means. Will brings that spirit to life in his book and in this episode: the idea that true hospitality is a way of moving through the world, not a task on a checklist.
It’s the episode he recommends to everyone, and the one that continues to influence Gravity’s culture today. Listen for yourself by finding the episode on our website https://www.gravitygroup.com/podcast/building-brand-with-unreasonable-hospitality/?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=organic&utm_campaign=brand_story_100_celebration or wherever you listen to podcasts.

To celebrate the 100-episode milestone for our Brand Story podcast, we’ve been looking back at the conversations that actually changed how we work and communicate. For our graphic designer, Caroline, Terry Szuplat's episode "Say It Well" rose to the top.
Terry's idea of “meeting people in the middle” hit home — if you want someone to understand you, you need to speak to where they are, not just where you are. Add to that his reminder to bring your own story into your communication, and you get a framework that’s equal parts honest and powerful.
Caroline said this episode stuck with her because it reinforced something important: your voice is shaped by your experiences, and authenticity is what makes your message land.

AI may be getting better, but it can’t replace the moments where real human thinking, judgment, and empathy are needed.
To celebrate Episode 100 of our Brand Story podcast, we welcomed back our very first guest, editor and educator Scott Witthaus, to talk about the state of creative work today and AI’s role in it.
His conversation with our president, Steve Gilman, dives into where technology helps (and where it doesn’t), how leaders can keep creativity human, and why the best ideas still come from giving people the time and space to think.
