It was a joy to welcome PASSPORT Summer Camp back to VMRC for another year of service and connection. Whether they were washing cars, helping set up for a themed dinner, playing games, treating residents to a spa day, or indulging in sweet treats with our residents, these campers brought smiles and kindness to every program. We extend our utmost thanks to these campers for making meaningful connections and living out a heart for serving others!

Last week, we gathered to celebrate three remarkable individuals as they prepare to take the next step toward careers in nursing.

Congratulations to Amy Matamoros, Leticia Vega, and Macie Sprouse, the 2026 recipients of the Mary Reitz Nursing Scholarship. It was a meaningful evening filled with stories of perseverance, gratitude, and the support of family, friends, donors, residents, and staff who have helped make this moment possible.

One of our most-loved outings returned this month as residents visited Point of View Alpaca Farm in Mount Sidney. From feeding and petting alpacas to learning more about the farm's story, the day offered plenty of opportunities to enjoy the outdoors and experience something a little different.

A stop at Valley Pike Farm Market for lunch provided the perfect ending to a wonderful day spent exploring the Shenandoah Valley together.
