Meet Marilyn and Urbie Nash!

Marilyn and Urbie own an eleven-acre property in the middle of Waynesboro, VA. Four years ago, they decided to conserve that land forever with a conservation easement. 🌱

Marilyn, an avid birder, and Urbie a lifelong outdoorsman, have both come to love and value the natural world around them.

Throughout our morning walk with them, Urbie shared how the land slowly came back to life after decades as an overgrazed pasture, while Marilyn pointed out the many birds that have returned, each one a sign of the land’s recovery. 🌼

Some conservation easements are large forests, some are working farms, but conservation exists at every size, and Urbie and Marilyn have shown that every acre makes an impact.
