Happy Aromantic Spectrum Awareness Week! 💚🤍🖤

Aromantic: an orientation that describes people who experience little to no romantic attraction or a disconnect from societal norms or expectations.

Aromantic Spectrum: an umbrella term for all aromantic orientations, which emphasizes the diversity of experiences and identities within the community (also referred to as arospec).

Starting in 2014, ASAW started as "Aromantic Awareness Week between November 10th-17th to follow Ace-Week in October, but was later renamed to Aromantic Spectrum Awareness Week (ASAW) by 2015 and moved to February to incorporate all of the arospec identities. ASAW generally starts the Sunday after Valentines day, with the goal to spread awareness and acceptance of aromantic spectrum identities and the issues aros face, as well as a chance for the community to celebrate their own experiences and existence.

This panel is an engaging discussion where audience members will have the opportunity to learn about the life and campus experiences of LGBTQ+ students, alumni, faculty, and staff.
