🧡 July is Disability Pride Month!

This month, we celebrate the disability community and recognize the strength, resilience, and contributions of our friends and neighbors living with disabilities right here in Branford and across Connecticut.

In July 1990, the Americans with Disabilities Act was signed into law, a landmark moment that helped open doors to accessibility, opportunity, and equal rights. But there’s still progress to be made, and that is why so much of the work I focus on in Hartford lies at the intersection of advocacy and policy.

To everyone in our community living with a disability, and to the families, caregivers, and advocates who support them: thank you for the strength you bring every single day. 💪
