Trinity College Robotics Competitions

Dear Roboticists,

I’m sorry to inform you that the 2020 Trinity College International Firefighting Robot Contest is officially cancelled. I’m sure this does not come as a surprise. We will be refunding all registration payments. The administration of Trinity College has decided today (March 11) to cancel all events of 50 or more people, and to move to Remote Learning at least through April 5th, which means an overwhelming majority of our students will not be on campus through that date.

We know you understand, and we hope that you are staying healthy and safe! We look forward to our continued relationships with you all, and hopefully we will see you all in 2021.

Here are some exciting new announcements:

1. The 2020 CONTEST includes a new, additional $3,000 cash prize to be shared by any robot that completes LEVEL 3 using the monochrome pattern option for finding the baby (and extinguishes all candles).

2. We are offering FREE REGISTRATION for the first robot from a new organization (any organization that did not participate in 2019), and FREE GIFTS (see below)

3. On Saturday in 2020 we are adding FREE WORKSHOPS for Junior Roboticists and a FREE ACADEMIC ROBOTICS SYMPOSIUM with demos of autonomous and socially relevant robots and presentations by renowned roboticists.

Please register each Robot and their team members separately and provide a unique robot name. Each robot will be inspected upon arrival to ensure it is registered for the correct robot division.

FREE REGISTRATION for Teams that did not participate in 2019.Valid only for the first robot being entered from an organization that did not compete in the prior year's competition. If an organization has more than one robot entering, they must purchase standard price tickets for additional robots after the first entry.

Each robot receives one (1) free t-shirt with their registration fee. Please be sure to pre-purchase additional t-shirts for your team members to ensure your sizes are available. There will be a limited number of extra shirts available at the event for purchase onsite.
