I was just told that a pontoon boat was donated so we can get MORE veterans out on the water fishing 🎣

But right now — that boat doesn’t move without YOU.

💥 We need ONE captain 💥

➡️ 15-minute quick training at Hartwell Marina sometime this week
➡️ Show up Saturday at the Gum Branch Mega Ramp
➡️ Take some veterans fishing

That’s it. No stress. Just making a difference.

There are veterans showing up ready for a day on the water — let’s not leave seats empty because we didn’t have someone to drive the boat.

🇺🇸 This is one of those moments you can step in and directly give back.

Lake Hartwell is hot right now 🔥

The GHSA Bass Fishing Qualifying Tournament is coming to Lake Hartwell on Saturday, April 11th, and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome the competition to our backyard!

Hart County will host student anglers from across Georgia as they compete for a spot in the state championship. With hundreds of two-person teams hitting the water, this is a big deal — and a great opportunity to show these students and their families what Hartwell hospitality is all about.

Due to the size of this event, we ask that local fishermen and recreational boaters plan to use an alternate boat ramp that day. A full list of launch locations is available here:

We are headed to Gum Branch Mega Ramp & Fishing Tournament Facility on Saturday, April 25th for our 4th ANNUAL TAKE A VETERAN FISHING EVENT!!!

We are so excited to partner up with Reeves Young, Tactical Tungsten, 5Alive, Strike King, BigN Outdoors, Lews, Modern Construction Dynamics, and City of Hartwell Chamber of Commerce to be able to treat those that fought for our freedom to a day full of fishing, fun, and camaraderie.

Who ’s ready for the BIG’N Outdoors Spring Trail?

-Registration $150- day before tournaments BIG’N Outdoors - no call in registrations

-Day of tournament- $160 at the ramp

- Must fish 5 out of 7 to qualify for the trail championship!

-Trail Championship is double points!

- Overall points will determine team champions!

-1 team per every 25 teams (50 anglers) is a spot for the Team Championship- Location TBD

1 sub per team(I must know who is you regular partner at the first tournament).

We will have 2 Saturday tournaments(2/28 and 5/9).

2 Day Championship(6/20 & 6/21)

- Day 1 blast off is based off regular season points. Off limis will be Sunday 6/14 until Thursday 6/18 at 6am.
- Day 2 blast off is based of day 1 weights.
- “BIG” Championship payout!!

186 middle and high school fishing teams launched this morning for the Georgia BASS Nation High School Fishing tournament. Come feel the excitement as they head back in for weigh-in this afternoon starting at 2:00 PM at Gum Branch Mega Ramp. 🎣

The GA Bass Nation High School and Middle School Tournament is coming to Gum Branch on Saturday, February 21st, and this one is going to be one for the record books.

We are excited to welcome more than 200 teams, along with their boat captains and families, to Hartwell for an incredible day on the water. Events like this bring great energy and economic impact to our community, and we are proud to host them.

Due to the size of this tournament, we kindly ask our local fishermen and recreational boaters to plan to use a different boat ramp that day. You can find a full list of other boat ramps and launch locations here:

We’re excited to kick off the 2026 fishing tournament season with the Armed Forces Fishing League, and we want to make sure everyone has the most up-to-date information before hitting the water!

Below are the official launch ramps that will be used for the 2026 tournament season. Please review them carefully and plan accordingly for tournament mornings. These ramps were selected to provide the best access, safety, and efficiency for our anglers.

👉 Please note: All tournament launches will be out of these designated ramps only unless otherwise announced.
