Coach White has made this year unforgettable for Shell's students by creating exciting exercises, fun games, and opportunities to learn about healthy habits while staying active.
He did an incredible job preparing our 5th grade students for the countywide Field Day, building their skills, confidence, and team spirit along the way. To make the event even more special, Coach White designed a custom Field Day t-shirt with support from generous local sponsors.
When heavy smoke from wildfires affected our county and outdoor activities weren't possible, Coach White quickly adapted by finding creative and engaging indoor activities that kept students moving, learning, and having fun.
Thank you, Coach White, for your dedication, creativity, flexibility, and positive impact on our students. Your energy and enthusiasm make a difference every day, and we are so grateful for all you do!

Mrs. Carpenter makes the Media Center a place where learning comes alive! From inspiring a love of reading to creating engaging activities and organizing exciting Scholastic Book Fairs, she brings fun and adventure to every student who walks through the doors.
Mrs. Carpenter is supported by Mrs. Masciale. Together they create an inviting space where students can explore, learn, and grow. Their kindness, and dedication make the Media Center a favorite place for students and staff alike.

Earlier this week, School Resource Deputy Peter King was recognized by the City of Hawthorne Commission for his generosity and commitment to the community during the City Commission meeting.

SRD King’s donation to the Chester Shell Elementary School Safety Patrol program helped ensure that every student had the opportunity to participate in their end-of-year trip to Washington, D.C. When it was discovered that two students would be unable to attend due to financial hardship, SRD King stepped forward to cover the cost, making certain no student was left behind.

His selfless act exemplifies the compassion, service, and dedication that extend far beyond the badge. SRD King accepted the recognition with the Sheriff, Undersheriff, and his supervisors in attendance.

For Y Day, our school turned bright and sunny for Yellow Day! Students and staff showed up dressed in all things yellow—bringing big smiles, sunshine vibes, and lots of school spirit to the halls. ☀️✨

🎶 Miss Pishock has inspired a love of music in our students through her enthusiasm, creativity, and commitment to the Performing Arts. From teaching music fundamentals to helping students discover their unique talents, she has made a lasting impact on our school community.
One of her many accomplishments this year was leading and directing our school musicals, giving students the opportunity to shine on stage, build confidence, and experience the joy of performing arts. Her hard work behind the scenes helped create memorable productions that our students and families will cherish.
Miss Pishock also successfully launched and developed our new band program, providing students with exciting opportunities to learn instruments, work together as musicians, and grow their musical abilities.
In addition, she brought a renowned artist to our school, giving students a unique and inspiring experience to learn from a professional in the music industry and broaden their appreciation for the arts.
