Good information!

When reading through our growing guides you may come across phrases like “up-pot when the first set of true leaves appears”, “thin seedlings when there are 1–2 sets of true leaves” or something to that effect. So, what are true leaves? First, we should talk about cotyledons. Cotyledons are part of the seed and are the first leaves to appear after the seed has germinated. The next leaves that grow will be the plants’ first set of “true leaves”. They resemble the shape of what the mature plants’ leaves will look like. 💚🌱

Lesson learned, pre-register before bringing veggies to the North Idaho Fair! Everyone is being super nice down here, and we'll definitely have a bigger haul for next year!
